“Barefoot Charlie” Haase was a colorful character who went barefoot all year long. He built and ran a tavern/museum/restaurant just south of Land O’ Lakes and featured intricate woodworking, all done by Charlie himself. Much like Barefoot Charlie, our India Pale Ale is bold, creative and leaves a lasting impression.

Lager
Our tribute to the “World’s Largest Chain of Inland Freshwater Lakes”. A Dortmunder-style lager, this style was made popular in the 19th century in Dortmund, Germany. A pale golden lager with notes of biscuity malts. Bitterness is akin to a German Pilsner. Mouthfeel is firm and even with an overall dry tone.

Hazy IPA
A smooth and easy drinking Hazy IPA with a dank and fruity aroma that’s perfectly balanced between piney bitterness and flavors of lemon, fruit and pine. Supported with a soft malt base, this is a refreshing Northwoods Style Hazy IPA.

A collaboration with our friends over at The Craftsman in Eagle River. Our tribute to the fun of spending time outdoors in the summer camps. A German wheat beer with fruity and spicy notes of banana and clove with a smooth and slightly creamy mouthful of low bitterness.

Brewed as a tribute to the first steamboat to navigate the Eagle River, Old Eagle Porter is a smooth, dark beer with notes of dark chocolate derived from malted grain.

Amber Lager
A tribute to the mysterious lights near Paulding, Michigan. This lager is light bronze in color with a delicate malt aroma and a slightly toasted malt character followed by a mild, pleasant hop finish. So well balanced it will leave you wondering…is this for real?

ALIEN PANCAKES
ESB (Extra Special Bitter)
Our tribute to the 1961 legend of a flying saucer, witnessed by a rural Eagle River resident, landing in his backyard. The resident then traded the aliens water in exchange for pancakes that one of the aliens was cooking. Brewed as a low-ABV option, Alien Pancakes is a balanced, easy-drinking British-styler ale with rich malt character and mild hop bitterness.Â

FINN'S IRISH
Red Ale
Our tribute to Finn Lawler, the “Grandfather of Vilas County”. The red ales of Ireland have a gentle maltiness, caramelly, earthy notes, and a generally restrained hop character. We’ve added a bit of dark malt to give Finn’s Irish Red Ale a deeper, slight roasty flavor. We raise our glasses of Finn’s Irish Red Ale to you, Mr. Lawler…Sláinte!
